Charleston Restaurant Week

01.11.12 | Menu Debuts, Get Fresh, See & Be Seen

It’s that time of year again: Charleston Restaurant Week is upon us.

This is one of my favorite weeks! Food lovers of all ages, hometowns and palates wander from King Street to East Bay and beyond, sampling everything from Lowcountry classics to homegrown Italian to our own specialty, French-Asian cuisine.

So go forth and eat! But first, it never hurts to do a little research. The Charleston Restaurant Association has a list of all participating restaurants and their deals. And of course, Charleston being the food-obsessed town it is, each of these restaurants has reviews in any of our many local publications.

Choose wisely, folks, but to tip your scales in our favor (not that we need to!), here is the Charleston City Paper’s review of Fish.

And, for the big finale, here is our Restaurant week menu:

$20

-          First course:

Coconut onions soup, frog leg Rangoon

Steam bun duck prosciutto

-          Second Course:

Local strip bass, squash coconut rice, roasted winter garden, brown butter sauce

Beef Bourgignon, roasted potato, mirpoix vegetable

-          Third Course:

Butternut squash crème Brulee

Fried  candied ginger beignet

YUM!!! See you next week for the best deal of the New Year!
